Oak Tree Inn Buffalo Airport

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I am a Wyndham rewards member who travels often. I booked this hotel in order to attend the Buffalo Bills home game. I booked well in advance and even received my confirmation email. The night of my stay, I was informed that my reservation had been CANCELED! This was NOT A MISTAKE! This was done because the rate I got when booking months in advance was too good and this hotel wanted to triple the price due to the event. I arrived at 11 p.m. with no place to stay. This is a HORRIBLE practice.

Finding a clean, quiet budget hotel in today’s world is difficult. But this property far exceeds expectations. A big plus is the Keurig custom coffee/beverage machine. Real beans! Ground. A very European touch. Room, bathroom basic, very clean. Also excellent informal local diner restaurant a walk across the parking lot. Greek specialties! Motel staff very accommodating.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times for work in November and December, and it’s become increasingly frustrating. This is the third year in a row that the conditions of the rooms have deteriorated. I’ve stayed in several rooms, and each one had its own set of problems. The first room I stayed in had fruit flies and a strong odor. they had tried to mask the smell by opening the window, but it didn’t work. Other rooms had issues with cleanliness as well. Around Thanksgiving, the internet access went out and was still not available when I left for the final time just before Christmas. The front desk staff would simply give me a “I don’t know” look when I asked about the internet. One person even told me to use a hotspot if I needed to access the internet.
