Though this is your typical Hampton Inn, two things set it apart. I usually can’t stand Hampton Inn coffee. I have to grit my teeth to get it down. But this Hampton Inn has GREAT coffee! Not just good. It’s great! I couldn’t believe I was in a Hampton Inn. And, even though the breakfast is the usually mediocre one, this Hampton Inn has real, authentic, absolutely delicious, awesome New York bagels! The real deal. Though most of the staff is really delightful, there are a couple of not very friendly front desk people, but despite them, I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat next I am in that area just for the coffee and bagels!!!

We were told to call from Wyandanch from The LIRR Train and then go to Deer Park. We misunderstood and got off at Wyandanch. We called Malissa back and told her we were at Wyandanch. She said the van doesn’t go there so we were forced to spend $20 on a ride share. When we finally got to the hotel Malissa said it was our fault. Well after awhile we were checked. My wife asked for a simple bottle of water. She was told that she was not entitled to it. They said our level of Hilton Honors didn’t entitle us to water. The next day we specifically asked that the sheets be changed. We went out to a family dinner, when we got back to our room I realized that the sheets were never changed. I called the front desk and they offered to send up sheets but as I was not planning to make the bed in the late evening I declined the offer. When I went down to the front desk Judy looked on The Housekeepers log Judy claimed that the staff claimed that the bed was made so she was calling me a liar. Judy finally said that she was taking one night off our bill for our troubles. After this I asked to speak to the manager. Judy told my wife and I that no manager was available. As we had a late check out of 1 PM we took our time and checked out at our leisure I must say that Cindy on the front desk was most helpful. After we checked out I noticed 2 charges for $4.95 each . This was a charge for internet which as we are Hilton Honors members is supposed to be free. I imagine when the Manager sees this we will be contacted.

One night stay for a weekend getaway trip. Very clean and quiet place. Friendly staff and safe area. Next to shopping (Costco) and dinning. Right off I -495 and the state drive way to the beaches. Just be careful when you drive in during late evening, the parking entrance area is a bit tight and dark.
