Country Inn Suites Cortland

For the money this is a very basic hotel. The breakfast very limited ( but good waffles). The elevator slow and weird noises on ascending. The pool you need ear plugs for. Whoever designed that room gave no thought to the acoustics! We stayed 3 nights and had no room service. I asked after 2nd night if we could get it that day and was assured we would as it’s every other day. We didn’t.

Clean modern and updated rooms. The one bedroom suite was great. Having a bedroom door to separate from the living room and hallway made for a perfect nights sleep. We were notified in advance our room was ready and checkin went smooth. Good breakfast options.

We were fortunate to get a room here because there were no rooms available in Ithaca due to Cornell’s graduation weekend. We were about 20 miles outside of Ithaca. The hotel personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was just adequate. It definitely needs a comfortable chair or small sofa. The bed was uncomfortable because the sheets were loose. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the spacious, modern bathroom.
