We checked in to the hotel on Friday July 17th. The desk clerk was friendly and gave me the typical welcome and details about the hotel. That was the best part of our 2-night stay. She said our room was down the hall on the second floor. Once we got up there, our room was right next to the elevator. My IHG rewards profile has been for a room away from the elevators. We were tired from our trip so we hoped it would be okay. It wasn't bad because the noise from the refrigerator and running toilet covered up any noise from the elevator. Every time the refrigerator compressor started, it would knock loudly, all day and night. The toilet evidently leaked water continuously, so the tank had to keep refilling all day and night. We received a text welcoming us from "Sandy" who we later found out was the manager. The next morning, I received another text from "Sandy" asking how are stay was and was asking for a rating of 1-5 (5 being excellent) and I replied we had a few concerns and were there for 1 more night. NO response. We had looked for some assistance Friday evening, but no one was answering behind the desk. Same for Saturday morning. Upon check-out Sunday, we spoke to a gentleman behind the desk about our unanswered concerns with the room and he stated, "You should have let me know, I'm here all day. Sunday morning check out was the first we had seen him. He also said the text was an automated text, and it goes to the manager who is on vacation. I'm sure she deserves her vacation as everyone else but at least allow someone to respond to texts if you really want to know something or stop them until you return. I contacted IHG customer service, that was interesting too. After dealing with their AI chat bot, I "chatted" with an agent. She stated she would pass it on to management and still haven't heard from anyone. We stayed at a Holiday inn Express in Wilkes-Barre, PA and one in Winchester, VA on this same trip. Both were excellent and each one away from the elevator. I'll stay somewhere else next time in the area and suggest you do the same. Welcome in, give us your money and if you have a problem, tough luck. Find a different place to stay.

My family and I spent 6 days at the hotel. We liked our rooms. They were clean and spacious. Tye staff was helpful and friendly. We asked for a dining table and got it from the hotel. A couple of times though we heard other people and our bath was scratched. It did not bother though. There is a free grill area at the back parking lot. I am sure it would be appreciated if there were more space for guests. It was important for us that the hotel offered free cancellation until one before check in date. The other important thing for us was a relative proximity to a number of attractions in the area. So it all worked well.

Stayed overnight to visit our grandsons 2nd birthday after reading the reviews I was worried but the hotel itself was very clean & nice! I was so relieved it was very nice, new and clean! The bed was very comfortable and the room itself had a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, counter stove. We sat outside in the fire pit the staff came out and started the fire from a remote control. They had free full breakfast consisting of pancakes, fruit, eggs, sausage & gravy, muffins and juice. The staff was very nice overall stay was 5 star I would recommend it and stay again!
