Eurostars Wall Street

Good Morning. My wife and I have recently experienced a Four day stay at the New York Eurostar Wall Street hotel, 129 Front Street. The first room we were given the shower was falling of the wall. it must have been installed in the Nineteen Twenties as it was antiquated to say the least. the antiquated bath had seen better days too. The room was shabby to say the least. There were no USB sockets of any kind in the room. The manager did attempt to remedy the situation by offering us another room which was a slight improvement on the first one. He did offer me a USB adapter which was better than nothing. Instead of central heating in the room there was again an antiquated storage radiator that were damaged cosmetically and made a loud noise when turned on. The floor in the room was laminate flooring that had seen better days. My wife has medical conditions and the second room the manager put us in did have a wet room shower which was nice but the sink was completely impractical, it didn't hold enough water to have a shave or simply to wash in. The flooring in the bathroom was very dangerous as it was ceramic tiles. The bathroom was supposed to be designed for disabled people but the floor was slippery and dangerous, no none-slip flooring to stand on of any kind after a shower. Went in for breakfast and each morning the staff were not English speaking so couldn't communicate with us properly. We got the distinct impression that we were inconveniencing them. It was very evident as the Spanish speaking staff warmed towards other people who spoke Spanish. We didn't feel the welcome that one should feel on visiting a hotel for the first time. The cooked Breakfast left a lot to be desired as it was always slightly warm but the cereals and cold foods were well presented the dinning room was very a very pleasant environment and was well laid out. The coffee machine persistently broke down but the manger did fix the issue. I did notice throughout my stay there was a distinct lack of pictures on the walls in the room and around the hotel in general. the hotel could do with painting along with the rooms. Aesthetically this hotel has such potential but viewed from the outside it gave the impression of a Nineteenth Twenties brothel. Regarding the lack of UpToDate power points they too had seen better days. the electrics, furniture, floors and aesthetics all need urgent attention. I can only assume the other rooms are in similar disrepair and could do with a complete overall. To sum up our visit to the Eurostar's Wall Street Hotel in New York is simply to say if you want to remember New York in an era that has long since past and want to conjure a memory of what the building or the hotel would have resembled in the great depression then you would have been right at home at the hotel. Cheap and cheerful sums up our stay at this hotel only without the cheerful and will defiantly place it on our bucket list of hotels in New York to avoid for the future. Needs much financial investment to compete with other hotels in the area who offer much more in comfort and amenities. If the Eurostar Wall Street it is to remain as a hotel of any consequence for the foreseeable future then as a reviewer of hotels our rating will reflect its structural condition, hospitality, amenities, catering and over all quality of staffing. Our rating is based on the above will be rated accordingly. Three Stars awarded. MUCH IMPROVMENT NEEDED.

I stayed at Eurostars Hotel Wall Street for 6 nights and had a very disappointing experience. During my stay, two personal items of clothing that I had left on the bed disappeared after the linen was changed. I assumed this was a simple error that could be quickly resolved, however, when I raised the issue, the response was dismissive. I was told the housekeepers had already left, so they could not help me, and that the hotel is not responsible for personal items. What was most frustrating was not just the loss itself (150$ of value), but the attitude received. This wasn't a theft of course, but from the beginning, there was little concern on the issue, and the only action was to say they had “asked” about it. After I checked out, I had to initiate the conversation and ask for updates. There was no follow-up and no accountability. After a week of exchanging emails with the local Front Office Manager and their Quality Department, the most notable feedback I received was simply a reminder that the hotel is not responsible under [quoting here] "the terms and conditions you signed at check-in." Hotels should prioritize guest trust and safety, and in this case, I felt neither. Pick your hotel with attention if you value your belongings or expect even basic customer care.

Totally awful hotel and very expensive. Old and worn. Poor quality, linoleum floor with moisture damage, Air Conditioning noises and does not work well.
