We booked our honeymoon trip to New York through DERTOUR. Despite a room rate of almost €400 per night, the condition of the hotel was unacceptable: Dirt, broken furniture, and inadequate heating in December. Instead of the booked honeymoon suite, we received a tiny, worn-out room.
The worst part: After the trip, DERTOUR initially offered us a ridiculous €32 (about 1% of the price). Only after months of back and forth was the amount increased to €232 – which, given the massive deficiencies, is still far below the usual rates of travel law. To treat a newlywed couple this way is almost unparalleled in ignorance. Never again DERTOUR.
