Nice Hotel Great Location. Breakfast right out the front door. Bagel shop. Walkable to many attractions and a Beach area

The Grand Adirondack hotel is a great value for the money. We did not have meals there except for breakfast and our breakfast meals were excellent. And the service was good, too. However, as a hotel we base our opinions on the room. The shower was excellent, the linens were excellent and the service of the housekeeping staff was excellent. Other than that, having only two SMALL elevators is not helpful, especially when one of them is inoperable. On a really strong note, parking in Lake Placid is almost non existent, so it is most helpful that the Grand Adirondack has valet parking and the valet staff is excellent. Going to be in LP? Give serious consideration to the Grand Adirondack Hotel.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel for our 4 night stay last July. The staff was mainly from Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia. Most were awesome and spoke fluent English. We were assigned a top floor room, had good breakfasts, good housekeeping, and a great view of Mirror Lake. The Ironman competition was the Sunday after we checked out. Busy splace. Loved Lake Placid and are planning on returning this next year. Really enjoyed the many hikes, Passport (Olympic) venues, cooler weather (we are from Florida) and restaurants. Hoping Marriott will fix it's problems so we can book this hotel next year. The recent reviews have not been stellar - trouble with staff not answering phone...which we experienced, elevator issues, housekeeping issues, etc. We were lucky and were very happy. The hotel has got great western vibes and a good location. We enjoyed the waitors (from various countries) at breakfast and front desk guy from Memphis.
