Econo Lodge Malone

I stayed here for three nights unfortunately. The hotel is very rundown outside, the room was fine and I was appreciative of them cleaning it every day and replacing towels. Upon arrival later in the evening after a long day of travel, the owner/fellow at the front desk informs me that I have two rooms booked and I said no, I only have one. I made some changes months before and notified them - you can't cancel online, you have to email or call (huge pain). Anyhow, I informed him I did not have two reservations and he said yes I do and he argued with me and said that he would only cancel the one room if I paid more for my room for the three nights!!!! I was very upset about it and he didn't seem to care. I went to the room and sorted through my emails, found the email where I sent it to him in May stating that I needed the one night cancelled because I made a second booking for three nights. This was in May!!!! That night there was some incredibly loud banging in the room beside me and I was kinda scared and being a lone female, I didn't want to leave the room for fear of what was going on so I called the motel office SIX TIMES and no answer, the calls just went unanswered and this was not that late, like around 9pm!! I would NOT recommend this motel. The owner obviously screwed up and didn't do what I asked in the email and then charged me more every night, what a rip off! I have emailed them and asked for a refund but of course, they refuse to respond. DO NOT STAY HERE. I plan on filing a complaint with my credit card company.

Our room was clean with all basic necessities supplied. The motel is kind of the old and dated however everything work properly with no problems. The staff was very friendly and we had a good night sleep.

Room was dirty and outdated decor . Walls very thin, did not use shower, slept on top of sheets. Coffee maker in room was nice. Many stains and head board of bed falling apart. Would not stay again ..
