HOMEWOOD SUITES HILTON NEWBURG

Staff was very nice pool and putt putt was really fun. Room was very clean. Don’t be put off when you drive in.. there are some abandoned buildings but they belong to a former decommissioned military base. They’re not squat houses or anything. Had a great dinner delivered to the hotel by the Mexican restaurant Talavera.

My family and I stayed here for a week visiting family. Great option for the Newburgh/Hudson Valley area. Clean hotel, big rooms, and nice staff. Just a few small cons that didn't make the stay 5 stars - The fire alarm went off one night, and nothing was communicated about why/when we could go back to our rooms. Someone burned something in a microwave, and I had to walk to the front desk to know the story and that we could go back to our rooms. Breakfast is fair, but hot breakfast items are lackluster quality and didn't change but once in 5 mornings. Otherwise, for a standard breakfast, you can fill up easily. The toilet in our room wasn't cleaned well, after noticing a few small obvious things. Otherwise, the room was in very good condition. Again, a good option for the area, just missing the mark in a few areas. We will consider this property for future visits.

My extended family and i stayed in 3 suites 12/26-29 for a post-holiday gathering. We arrived during a snow storm and the hotel was swamped with stranded travelers. The staff was amazing as they handled the crowds. The rooms were ready, we were able to get them adjoining as requested and they were very clean, with all the items as expected. The whole facility was extremely clean and well maintained, the staff extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfast was the best i have seen just about anywhere and they had the parking lot and all the sidewalks perfectly clear before we were up and out in the morning. I can't say enough about what a great facility and staff it is and how well the adjoining suites worked out for our little family reunion. The kids loved the pool when it was so cold and snowy outside. And it is extremely well located to a lot of things to see although we didn't make as good use of them due to the weather. And even though it is right by the airport, there was no noise from it. It really is a very nice oasis. Highly recommend!!!!
