NYMA, THE NEW YORK MANHATTAN HOTEL

Very nice hotel in general. - The hotel is a short walk from Times Square, about 5 minutes walk. The rooms are clean. Just one downside, there are two elevators for several floors... Please plan to wait a bit in the morning and during busy periods.

My friends and I reserved 2 rooms back in April and they were confirmed. A day before received email welcoming us for our stay at the NYMA Hotel with pictures of the hotel. Arrived and was told hotel was closed and reservations were moved to a hotel across the street and they had no rooms with the previously requested king (2) beds. No option but accept since it was marathon weekend and all rooms in the city booked. No apologies, no explanation. Many others in the hotel had the same experience and were angry. Can a hotel get away with this????

I booked my stay in NYC through Booking.com in July, and less then 2 weeks prior to my trip then cancelled saying they over booked. Well be carefull this hotel, I have been to NYC many times but this is a first!
