Country Inn Suites Olean

The hotel is right across the street from St. Bonaventure University and there are plenty of restaurants a short drive away. It is also not far from Allegany State Park, which is definitely worth a visit. The front desk staff were great! I had a room on the first floor and it was easy to get to for unloading and loading my car. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. It was a little on the pricier side compared to other hotels on my trip though. The breakfast area was clean but didn't have much of an option for non-pork proteins (but that was a dietary choice, not a fault of the hotel).

My husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent staff. Rodney, Tyler, Angel and all the rest are great. Very friendly and accommodating. George, the maintenance person, brought us a new refrigerator since the one in our room needed defrosted. Housekeeping was also very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean. Very good breakfast also! This area in New York is beautiful and you are located directly across from St Bonaventure University. Also near a golf course and multiple restaurants and stores! Needed a stopover to break up our car trip and had just come from a wonderful stay at a Fairfield in another city. Cannot believe the brand has such different properties. This property was dirty from construction and our room had a toxic building materials smell. We arrived so late in the evening, and kids asleep, so just stayed until morning. When we complained in the morning to the front desk manager, he just shrugged it off and said, oh it was probably wallpaper paint. No attempt to make things better. Avoid this place. Breakfast attendant was kind.
