I can’t tell you how annoyed by a modern hotel that doesn’t have hot water, let’s just say it’s a lot of annoyed. Rooms were clean, the average for a hotel of this caliber. Location was OK easy to get to, parking was a little tight. In addition to your normal bill, this property charges a $100 incidental deposit, even though they have nothing with which to provide incidentally. Again, very annoying. If you wanna hang up clothes, find a different place. No coffee maker or microwave in the room. The free coffee in the lobby was hot-ish. And the genius who hung the iron and ironing boards on the wall didn’t use wall anchors, just did screws into the sheet rock so they’re all falling out. Would I stay here again? Sure if I didn’t have another choice.
Also, free breakfast sucks. Only protein was cold, hard-boiled eggs, they had some pastries and some bagels. The yogurt comes out of a squirty yogurt machine, and not the best effort at keeping things tidy.

Front desk lady told us we would be refunded for Night 1 since we had to move rooms at 6 AM in morning due to fire alarm that she could not get off. We have yet to hear back from Hilton and there are actively ifnoring my messages. I also parked in the left lot instead of the right lot when main lot was full and my car was towed. The signs are the exact same tow signs in all 3 lots near hotel. Multiple people were towed during my stay. If you offer mobile check-in, that should be sent in the check-in text, not relied upon for people to look at sign on front desk. Incredibly shady behavior as a hotel. I travel every single week for work and have stayed in 100’s of Hilton’s. I have never once complained. This was an abomination of a hotel with the worst customer service imaginable. The price was good but I will be staying elsewhere when I have to come back for work and I am never staying at a Hilton again. IHG for life now. They treat people like human beings.

We stayed at Spark by Hilton Rochester for four nights in May 2026 and paid USD 418 per night. The hotel was well below basic standards and significantly overpriced for the level of service and the room setup provided.
Service:
During our entire four-night stay, housekeeping did not clean the room even once. That is unacceptable.
Room:
The room was extremely small and difficult for three people to move around in comfortably. It had no coffee maker, no microwave, and not even a single drawer. Instead of proper storage, there were small wall-mounted boxes for personal items. The clothes-hanging rod was only about 10 inches long — barely enough space for two shirts.
Bathroom:
The bathroom was very small, and the sink was oddly placed outside the bathroom next to the front door, creating an awkward layout.
Breakfast:
The breakfast was very basic, and they frequently ran out of items, including hot water.
Front Desk:
The manager had an unpleasant attitude when I asked about the charges on my bill.
Summary:
You would be much better off staying at one of the nearby hotels.
