Courtyard Rye

We were on a college scouting trip to the area and this was a centrally located, good value Marriott brand hotel which is our preferred chain. The room was exceptionally large and seemed clean from what we could see. We did switch rooms though before settling in to the first as it seems there was a rather loud, jubilant child's birthday party booked in an adjacent room, according to hotel staff. I didn't understand the concept, but I guess it makes sense as there is a full kitchen and enough room to have a kid's party and not worry about creating mess in your own home. The staff was very helpful and moved us immediately and explained the noise. The lobby and dining area that we experienced had a clean, new, tidy atmosphere. We didn't explore other areas of the hotel. The value was great for the area and the beds were super comfy. I would definitely recommend this for family or business visits. My only issue was I was charged for 'pantry' items at the grab and go that we never had and that was never resolved.

Bed bugs. Disgusting. Dirty hotel!
