Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel

Oh my! Where do I start? Has anyone ever experienced a hotel that did not have washcloths? They told us they would bring us washcloths later in the day, but they never arrived. We were there for a whole week. I had to go out to the store to target to buy some washcloths. When we checked in, the woman at the desk just kept typing and looking at her computer and kept me standing there for ten fifteen minutes before she decided to check me in. The only upside is, I got a free room, because i'm a gambler. If it wasn't for gambling, I would not stay there

The staff is so obnoxious.. they hate the customers. They don't answer the phone when you call the hotel. Has anyone ever heard of this LOL. When you ring the hotel directly.. it goes to voicemail.. and then tells you voicemail hasn't been set up.. they really should prioritize answering the phone.. give him such a bad name not that I can get any worse.. and theyre losing business Jeff Gural is absent and I'm sure his employees there are just Yes Men.. God forbid you make a change for the better.. God forbid you analyze complaints.. God forbid you make a managerial move instead of just coming in to collect the paycheck..

I brought my family to Vernon downs for 3 nights. We had two rooms. Rooms were very clean and spacious. We went to the horse races, miracle Mile restaurant, buffet and the deli. Food was good all three places. Went to the dance Friday night and had a blast ! The host at the casino Mark Abel is the best! Always making sure his patrons have fun. He personally asks if everything is good and makes you feel valued. Played the machines and hit quite well. I would recommend Vernon ! Very fun experience! Staff is friendly and helpful, check in is easy and efficient.
