Super 8 West Point

TV did not work was told they were working on it - no ice in ice machine - had to ask for roll of toilet paper - only 2 wash cloths , 1 hand towel and 2 bath towels all thin, old, gray and stained - breakfast chairs were all on top of tables from 800 pm till 900 am next day - breakfast 2 bananas and cereal in breakfast area - no one at the desk just ring doorbell - no glasses in room and only 1 Styrofoam cup in breakfast area - toilet seat very loose - toilet paper roll holder full of rust - sink was cracked about 6" in two directions - phone did not work - we went elsewhere for breakfast as did others - after a long day of travel it was more than disappointing --

We left without staying there after seeing the condition of the room. Stained sheets and towels. Looked like someone wiped the mirror with a dirty wet rag. Wiped black gunk off the bottom of the tub. It was disgusting.

When we got into the room, we found hair in the bed and visibly stained bedding, which immediately made us question whether the bedding had actually been properly changed and cleaned before our arrival. Unfortunately, that was only part of the problem. The room and property had numerous obvious maintenance and cleanliness issues. There was exposed wiring hanging from the ceiling where a fixture appeared to be missing, a large damaged or patched area on the ceiling, and the mirror was covered in smears and residue. The bedding had multiple yellow/brown stains that were clearly visible. Even the hallway/property condition was concerning. One of the doors was being held or secured with long straps running across it rather than looking like a properly repaired door. I understand that this is a budget hotel, and I don't expect luxury at a budget price. I do expect clean bedding, a sanitary room, properly maintained electrical fixtures, and basic property maintenance. Those are minimum standards, not luxury amenities. I took photos documenting the condition because I genuinely couldn't believe the room had been presented to paying guests this way. Based on our experience, I would not stay at West Point Inn & Suites again and would not recommend it to anyone until the cleanliness and maintenance problems are addressed.
