Called to make a reservation for a couples weekend in Asheville. The person who answered said she was new and could not tell me if my reservation was refundable. She told mw a manager would call me the next day with the answer. The call never came and the hotel is now full during the weekend I wanted to book. So frustrating!

This is a very quaint hotel , not centric though , you need to drive if going to downtown near biltmore, there were some restaurants in walking distance , the rooms were spacious and super cute to the era , this hotel is in the registrar of historical places, the only drawback is that the electors were not working due to the hurricane last year and they will not be fixed because it will take from the historical experience . They had a great happy hour, they gave a charcuterie board for each person , the character of the place is amazing !!!

Started out with 2 stars, down to one. Elevator doesn’t work, (we’re on the 3rd floor and in our 60’s) no internet, no hot water, no breakfast, decent glass of wine with pathetic app plate, stink bug count in the room is up to 9 (6 dead and 3 were alive), toilet barely works (but has a bidet attachment) plate on the shower control is unattached to the wall and spins, cheap dresser is stained on the top, the legs on the chairs in sitting area are very loose and the chair wobbles severely…. I could go on, but what’s the point? Several years ago, this was THE place to stay. Breaks my heart that it’s come to this.
