Banner Elk Winery and Villa

The Banner Elk Red was superb $29 bottle yesterday 08/12/2026. The setting is splendid. Just a note... the receipt: 1 Chips $4:50. It was a small one ounce bag of pretzels. Think about stopping buy Target and pick up: Rold Gold Tiny Twists Pretzels - 16oz $3.99 ($0.25/ounce)

It’s a nice venue but even better wine. Yes, one tasting is $20.00, but it’s truly award winning wine and you get four 2-3 oz pours. Both the estate wines and wines from away are developed here and offer an excellent flavor profile. The muscat, Marechal Foch, and Cab Sauvignon were tops. 29-45 dollars a bottle. It’s worth it.

We traveled here exploring the area from Raleigh, my brother and his gf visiting from the UK (he-37/she-27) they had their UK drivers licenses and they were told they could not be accepted as it was a North Carolina ABC liquor law..(we've yet to find it) we've not had this issue anywhere else..so heads up if you are international Visitors or traveling with international guests. Needless to say was not worth the trip back to Raleigh to get their passports!! Disappointed to say the least looked like a nice spot for a glass as we explored the area. The rest of Banner Elk/Boone did not disappoint we were able to get served at other establishments who too were not aware of this "law" I would not go back though.
