Beautiful historic building and beautiful Inn with perfect location to everything downtown.(even walking distance to some)
It is ALL historic and filled with antiques. Makes you feel as if you’re back in time and living in a southern mansion.
Regarding the bad reviews? My .02 is that they do not like this historic, antique’vibe’ and prefer ‘new and modern’ IF you only like new and modern then maybe it’s not for you.
The free ,sit down breakfast was fabulous. The service was great at breakfast and all around. Stayed for 2 days..

The room was very musty smelling. The clock was broken, the lamp shade was crumbling on the inside, a potential fire hazard! The furniture on the porch was in terrible shape and the cushions were moldy. They weren’t antiques, they were trash!
The room was clean, and the breakfast was good. I wouldn’t recommend this B&B to anyone

I have literally not been here an hour and I’m writing this review. Have been calling for two days to inquire about check in as I knew we would arrive later than planned. No answer, and full voicemail where I could not leave message. No reply to email or text. Immediately upon entry, the lamps would not turn on. None of them are plugged in so you fumble in dark. Might have been better with lights off. It is 1970s wood paneling, wall unit AC, non-working tv remote (complete with note that it is broken and not the battery), beeping smoke detector, dirty rug, dirty ceiling fan, notes that you may not use your own hair dryer as it is too many watts and will trip breakers. It is decorated with the most random assortment of yard sale art and furnishings. Can’t call the office to ask them to send up a battery for the smoke detector since the phone is a personal cell that goes unanswered. Husband went down and got one to stop the beeping. Not exactly the “elegant Victorian inn” advertised. We would have had a MUCH nicer room for less money at the Holiday Inn. Super bummed to have spent so much money and be stuck here for two nights. $540+ for two nights here. You’ve got to be kidding me. I was so looking forward to an historic B&B weekend away.
