Claddagh Inn

Great experience. Wonderfuwonderl hostess. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful lodging. Secluded and very quiet. Downtown Hendersonville took you back to a different time in history. I would recomend The Charleston Inn a must place to stay

The Charleston Inn was built in 1880 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This 3-story beauty sits in a grove of trees at the north end of Hendersonville's lively business district which can be easily walked from the Inn in its entirety. It is only a 2 block walk to 2 breweries. We were in lovely room 3 on the 1st floor near the office. The large wrap around porch was very inviting with rocking chairs and Southern charm. The side deck area was where the afternoon/evening social hours were held that were wonderful with food and drinks including music on Saturday. The breakfast was excellent with your choice of doughnuts, cakes, and croissants for starters and a menu to choose from be it French toast or omelets etc. They also had a full drink station. The staff was great, from the wonderful Inn manager that checked us in to her lovely daughter serving breakfast and the evening manager that went over and above during the social hours. We also liked the easy availability of ice and the snacks and Coca Colas after hours. This is such a fantastic welcoming property with the perfect location, that I know if we are ever in Hendersonville again, we will be staying at the Charleston Inn.

Arrived early in the pouring rain. I was sitting in my car awaiting my girlfriend's arrival and the host was pulling out in her car. She waved for me to open my window, and said she'd be happy to let me check in early to get out of the rain. What a thoughtful simple gesture that is likely what has led to all the great reviews of this wonderful inn. Our stay was one night, but we will definitely be back.
