This is a nice budget hotel that has immediate access to the beach. Our room was a basic King bed with a microwave and small fridge. It worked for the short stay of 2 days. I probably would go with the kitchenette for next time as the restaurants in the area are pretty much the same food. I think I would have preferred to cook small meals. It was pretty quiet, and the other lodgers were friendly as well as the staff. It is a dog friendly place, which is always a plus for us. The only thing is that you have to walk a bit (not far) to find a patch of small grass for potty breaks. We went off season, so it wasn't too expensive, but still pricey as it is the Outerbanks before Labor Day, but after school starts here. The cleanliness was okay. There was some damage to the walls and different places throughout the room. The shower was okay, but their curtain ensured that water got out on the bottom, so the sink cabinet had water damage on the bottom due to that. They do provide a broom and dustpan, which is a plus when staying near a beach. The toilet was a challenge as it is right in front of the door and wall, so if you are 6', it is hard to maneuver. Overall, I would stay here again.

You can see my full review on Google but I would not recommend this location until some well needed renovations are made, this place is basically falling apart. And is not clean.

Basic old fashioned motel. For the price, on the ocean (steps away) and with a pool..a steal. its not the hilton, nor pretending to be. Great walking distance to restaurants and pier. we got a king oceanfront, room 203. we have a view, most did not. basic, clean room. lots of ice, refrig, microwave, small , hvac window unit
