Stay away! This place was disgusting. We left and found a different hotel. Blood specks on the sheets. Bathroom was filthy. The hallways smelled like weed. Just a totally run down place. Plenty of better options nearby

The condition of this hotel was deplorable. Rust covered the lamps, outlets hanging off the wall, remote held together with duct tape and water stains on the ceiling. We only stayed a few hours

We stayed at this Red Roof back in 2022 with no problems, so we decided to return while passing through from Florida. It’s easy on and off the interstate, which is exactly what you want after a long day on the road. There are two sit-down restaurants within walking distance. One is Applebee’s—which, judging by the empty parking lot, seems to be more of a museum exhibit at this point (we’ve been seeing this trend around the country… not a great sign). The other is Logan’s Roadhouse. It’s not exactly five-star dining, but at least there were cars in the lot, which is always reassuring. The real winner, though, is the brand-new LongHorn Steakhouse opening just down the street—that’s the ticket. Now, the hotel itself: yes, the parking lot is on its way to becoming gravel and could use some attention. But don’t let that throw you off—the price is right, and the stay delivers where it counts. Let me address some of the concerns mentioned in other reviews: It’s clean. On both visits, we saw no stains or burns on the bedding. No sticky floors. No “mystery odors” (you know the one). The bed didn’t squeak, creak, or collapse like a pancake—actually quite comfortable. Very quiet room. I didn’t see fire sprinklers, but there is a newer-looking commercial alarm system with strobes. They tested it during our stay—it works. No elevator, but there are interior hallways, which adds a sense of security. Yes, it’s an older property, but the interior is perfectly fine. It was April, so the pool wasn’t open—no opinion there. Breakfast starts at 6:00 a.m. We left early, but the dining area looked clean and ready to go. There’s a small coffee setup off the lobby, though it wasn’t in use. It would be nice to have coffee available throughout the day—especially since the in-room coffee makers are gone. (That one hurts a little.) ROOM: Clean, no stains or odors. Bathroom had a newer acrylic tub/shower—clean and neat. 40” TV with a couple of Showtime channels and plenty of others. Fridge and microwave. Hairdryer. Strong Wi-Fi signal. No coffee maker in the room. WILL WE BE BACK? Yes, absolutely. This is a solid overnight stop—not a destination resort, and it’s not trying to be. If you’re just looking for a clean, quiet, reasonably priced place to recharge, it fits the bill. If your tastes run more toward the “sumptuous,” there are pricier options nearby.
