HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES SELMA

We stayed at this hotel from June 12th-June 16th, 2026. My Mother was in the hospital in San Antonio. We drove 13 hours from Gulfport, MS. We arrived around 8pm. The next morning we found out that our truck along with three other trucks were broken into in the parking lot. Our windows were shattered or severely cracked. Our truck body around the window was damaged and requires repaired. It delayed us seeing my Mother by several hours while we waited on the police. Now we know the hotel isn’t at fault for their parking lot as they have signs posted. The hotel itself is good. We like the room, the people and the breakfast.However, this was distressing and even though they say there are a lot of break ins around town, we felt that what needed to be done was more lightening , more cameras and even maybe security driving around. Four trucks were vandalized and things stolen , windows shattered. We have to pay the deductible to get ours repaired. We understand that things happen but this was very distressing.

Clean, great location and friendly staff. Extremely accommodating and they had a bare bones staff due to an ice storm. The Manager told us she would get us anything we needed and we were welcome to come down late hours to even get snacks in their breakfast room if hungry. Their team deserves commendation- thank you!!

Staff was great and rooms were clean. It was surprisingly quiet even with it being right off the highway, and breakfast was good. You have a cheddars and hooters walking distance so that was pretty convenient too
