If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel failed on security, cleanliness, and customer service. The most serious issue occurred at check-in when I was issued a key to another guest’s room. That is a major security and privacy failure. The manager later stated the issue was resolved because the key was replaced, but replacing the key does not change the fact that the breach occurred. The cleanliness and condition of the property were also disappointing. The continental breakfast had very little food available, and I witnessed a woman who appeared to be unhoused handling breakfast items with her bare hands while staff did nothing. Watching someone touch food intended for guests without any intervention was unacceptable. We also chose not to use the pool because there were visible clumps of hair floating in the water. After my stay, I provided photographs and detailed documentation of these issues. After six days of follow-up and more than an hour spent with customer service, I was told the hotel had no records of cleanliness concerns and declined to provide any compensation. The hotel’s position appears to be that because I completed my stay, the documented issues no longer matter. I disagree. Guests should not have to spend their vacation documenting problems, chasing management, and fighting for accountability afterward. I cannot recommend this property. Being issued a key to another guest’s room alone is reason enough not to return.

It saddened me to do this but.....let's get into it. I stayed at this hotel before, no issues. But I stayed here recently & I paid the deposit. Thank God I take videos and pics on how I leave the room. I NEVER got my full refund.....I got.....a whole PENNY back!! So what did I damage that was $49.99? Scammers is what comes to mind. I took out my own trash aaaaand stripped the bed for the house keepers ....I checked out 2hrs earlier than 11. I didn't smoke in the room or even near the room. I was in 207. Where is my FULL $50 deposit,I got bank records to prove I got a Penny back. I'm adding the photos I took as I was checking out of the room. I use to love to stay here but now, ill pay $1,000 a night somewhere else before I stay here again. I just want my $49.99 that was wrongfully taken from me. If leaving NO stars was an option, I'd leave it at Zero stars.

I booked this hotel for my birthday weekend, fully aware of the mixed reviews—but I wanted to give it a fair chance. That was my first mistake. We paid $178.98 for 2 nights and arrived around midnight after a long drive. As we pulled into the property, it already looked neglected—trash around the grounds and a general feeling of “this is not going to go well.” Room 250 confirmed it. The moment we opened the door, we were hit with a heavy cigarette smoke smell. The king bed had visible stains. Not “maybe” stains—actual stains. My husband and I looked at each other and immediately said, “Absolutely not.” We went back to the front desk. They said they were fully booked and offered us another room with double beds. Room 252 was somehow worse. No door handle. Let me repeat that—NO DOOR HANDLE. The only way to secure the door was using the inside latch. That’s not just poor maintenance—that’s a serious safety issue. At that point, we refused to stay and asked for a refund. Instead of resolving it, we were told to call Priceline. So there we were at 1:00 AM, sitting in the car, on the phone for 30 minutes, sending photos just to prove how bad the rooms were. Refund? “7–10 business days.” Meanwhile, we’re driving around Wilmington in the middle of the night trying to find another hotel because everything was booked. This place didn’t just disappoint—it completely disrupted our trip. There is no excuse for: Filthy, smoke-filled rooms Stained bedding Broken door hardware Unsafe conditions This isn’t a “budget hotel issue.” This is a management issue. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place should not be operating like this. YUCK.
