Motel 6 Akron

The Spark, while lacking in breakfast options, exceeded expectations everywhere else. Super clean rooms, chilled to a balmy 65 degrees made sleeping and comfort a breeze, especially with the expensive tv channel selections that included a late night viewing of Roadhouse. It’s also just a short drive from Akron staples Wally Waffle and Town Tavern, and most importantly Blossom Music Center which is the reason behind our trip. Staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend others to as well.

This hotel was a great find as it was newly refurbished, less expensive, and pet friendly. The staff welcomed our dog with smiles, pets and treats. It is decorated with bright cheerful colors that go along with the name of the hotel, Spark! Spark is a little more minimalistic than say Hampton Inn in these ways: Spark has a continental breakfast instead of one with hot bacon and eggs, paper cups not glass in the rooms, no lighted mirror around the frame of the mirror. They do have other nice amenities such as the hot coffee with an amazing Coffeemate creamer. I gave this hotel a 4 due to the water for the shower was not very warm. If we were staying more than one night we would have mentioned it to the staff. I could tell this had been an older hotel but was refurbished mostly due to the outside and the squeaky elevator.
