Comfort Inn & Suites (Mentor)

I do not recommend. We walked into the lobby and even though the lobby was very nicely done the workers smelled like marijuana. The man at the front desk was very nice and he did not smell of marijuana, but when the three workers came around the corner you could smell it very strong. I don’t care if smoking marijuana is legal, it should never be something that guest smell in a public place especially one of hospitality. We get to our room, I close the bathroom door and there is a dirty wash rag hanging on the hook behind the door. You have to wonder how clean an environment is when something that obvious was overlooked. I go to take a shower, and I noticed there is shampoo, lotion, and body wash in the shower. I’m not exactly sure why someone would put lotion in the place of conditioner in the shower. We go to lay down and rest for the evening, and someone runs past our door and bangs real loudly on it, we go to the door and again the hallway reeks of marijuana. Breakfast was a good experience, and the beds were very comfortable, which is the only reason why I gave the rating a three instead of a two or one

We were so pleased to find this hotel after a long drive. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy but with one problem - they are so tall, this 5 ft. little old lady had one heck of a time launching herself onto the bed. The room also has a Keurig coffeemaker. The restaurant/bar attached was a surprising benefit, especially for us late travelers. Food and beer were delicious and the staff, super accommodating. The menu was so intriguing, we'd be excited to return. Highly recommended!

I stayed for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed my time. Staff is very friendly..Rooms are very clean w/refrigerator &microwave. I love IHG mattresses& pillows. Always get a good night sleep. Close to many restaurants, parks for Pickleball and 35 minutes from Cleveland Airport. Price is reasonable. Hotel has a great restaurant and delicious food. I have stated here several times a year from the last 3 years. Close to a little town called Willoughby with quaint little shops and nice places to stop for food and drinks.
