I was in town for the Knicks conference finals and what a truly disappointing experience we had here. This is another Hilton property privately owned and neglected. You’d never know it when you walk in though. The lobby was clean and grand. . What a cruel way to heighten expectations.
The room was filthy, dated and ill-maintained. It smelled of dampness and cigarette smoke . We found black stains on the furniture, sticky stains on the carpet, torn curtains and dust on the tables, The towels were worn, dingy and threadbare. It was a short stay that was not short enough.
The bright spot was the made to order breakfast. The staff were helpful and responsive and the food was tasty.
Still, it simply wasn’t enough. Avoid at all costs.
