La Quinta Inn Airport North

The hotel is conveniently located near downtown and the airport, and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, those were about the only positives. The hotel is directly across from an RTA bus terminal, so expect noise late into the night. The buses returning to the terminal were particularly disruptive, especially the loud beeping when they were backing up. More concerning was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The staff did not seem welcoming, and the employees appeared disorganized and lacking in leadership. Basic customer service training would go a long way, we rarely encountered a smile or a welcoming attitude. One exception was a gentleman from housekeeping who was collecting towels. He was friendly, professional, and had a great attitude. Unfortunately, the condition of our room was the biggest issue. It was downright dirty and poorly maintained. Our room smelled strongly of smoke, despite being in a non-smoking environment. There were burn holes in the curtains, the furniture was beat up, the shower floor was disgusting, the paddle fan had a thick layer of caked-on dust, and the water pressure was terrible. Please see the accompanying photos—they speak for themselves. While the room rate was reasonable, **I strongly recommend spending a little more and staying somewhere else.** The combination of cleanliness issues, poor maintenance, noise, and lack of customer service made this a very disappointing experience.

Easy to find and get to, friendly welcoming staff. Room was clean and suited us perfectly. Cost was comparable to those around. We were on the freeway side, noise was there but we were so tired upon arrival we hardly even noticed. The next day we ate at Grumpy’s Cafe (highly recommended), we aren’t fans of any of the hotel breakfast. We like to eat a big breakfast and travel most of the day. All in all I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Very clean and nice. Being alone I felt quite safe. You need Google Maps to get to the hotel as it is tricky to find. It had an early shuttle to airport so no Uber required.
