Extended Stay America Columbus - Bradley Park

There are many maintenance problems. They charge junk fees, linen exchange fee daily of 3.00 with tax and do not disclose it at check-in. They will not honor online rates, house cleaning if you stay here a month will not be done. Security is questionable but I always believe that you should protect yourself.

I arrived at the hotel and checked in, but when I went up to the room, it was completely different from the photos online. Everything was dirty and run-down. When I inspected the towels, I noticed they had women’s hair on them. I went down to complain, and the front desk staff responded with attitude, insisting it was impossible to believe I hadn’t used the towels. They even claimed their system showed I had been staying there for over 15 days—when I had literally arrived only 20 minutes earlier! It seems like they hadn’t even properly checked me in. The hotel is infested with cockroaches, and every area is filthy. They allow dogs in other rooms, so at night I had to listen to constant barking. On top of that, there was a lot of noise coming through the walls. I will NEVER in my life stay in a place like this again.

Came down to Columbus for the CDL School and my employer generously booked me a room close to the school. Unfortunately, this place’s glory days are far, far gone. No amenities at all. No grab and go breakfast bar. High speed wifi? The WiFi network has no password security wall. If you connect to it, you risk someone connecting to your device. And to mention with no password, it gets used like the local library. They say high speed WiFi, I don’t consider 11 mbps high speed. 100mbs is standard these days especially in a big city area. The smell on the third floor is consistently Mexican restaurant themes which is off putting at first but my room was beside the trash and dirty linen rooms and it smelled overwhelmingly like garbage and urine. Very strong almost as if someone stumbled around black out drunk trying to find their room and just pee’d in the hallway during their search. The room had a Smokey smell despite the hotel claiming to be smoke free, the air conditioner would run and was stronger then, so the filter must be older because the air recycler is puffing lucky strikes. Also my bed sheets have a cigarette burn. They are clean though. I hope. There is also a weird stain on the ceiling in the bathroom. I don’t want to even think about what it could be but the fact it’s on the ceiling and no one has noticed is mind boggling. The floor is vinyl hardwood look and feels so grimey and disgusting, I cleaned a walking path with the hotel towels and it was filthy. I told my boss it was really run down and not to think I was complaining because I am grateful they got me close to school. But it’s disingenuous and near fraud to have a rating of 3 1/2 stars for this place. The smell made me sick, my head was hurting from the allergens or something. I did sleep ok. One night someone knocked on my door and woke me up, but I guess it was a prank. Oh yeah, the doors lock was messed up, thankfully not the key card one but the Manual lever style, it was hanging off some screws like SWAT bashed it down once.
