Knights Inn Dayton North

I chose this hotel because it has a hot tub. Check in, get changed, head down- there's a hot tob, physically but it is just standing, room temperature water. The knob on the wall is pulled off, not that I think turning the jets on would change anything. Some other couple was complaining when I left to go do something else so it's not a new issue to them, and it's no the first time hearing it. I tried to contact the hotel to find out how long it's been broken but no one answered the phone. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel is clean enough, if a little dated- there was a raccoon on the outside of the building I photo'd that I'll make sure makes it onto google.

Well, I can't even review the room because we never made it that far. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a strong smell of chlorine so immediately my boyfriend walked towards the pool area to check it out. We booked this room because we were in town for our son's 8th birthday and took him and a friend to Scene 75 and then he wanted to stay in a hotel with a pool to swim. (looked at the pics on the website...not accurate at all!!!!) I stayed at the counter to check in and when my boyfriend came back from the pool area he said, "hell no, we aren't staying here". He said the hot tub water was green and there was dirt all over the areas you were supposed to sit on. He said the water in the pool was yellow and gross. Dirt all over the bottom of the pool, with flaking paint that was even floating in the water. He said it's like they don't clean it they just throw chemicals at it. The whole reason for booking the hotel was because of the hot tub and pool area. Our son was upset, so we had to drive down the road and pay almost double what we planned and got a smaller room than we had planned, just so he could have the swim time he wanted for his birthday. Thanks for causing stress and chaos on a day that was supposed to be fun.

Tried two rooms and they were both dirty. Hopefully a one off occurrence but if not you’re best bet is the towneplace nearby.
