Comfort Inn Marion

The rooms are really not clean. My carpet was stained, toilet seat broken, towel stained, upholstery ripped on the desk chair, and paint scuffed and chipped in the room. The staff has difficulty using hotel systems and seems flustered - I felt bad for them.

Disgusting rooms had to wait an hour for them to change the mattress covers, then when I spoke to the GM Vick he told me he was too busy at 6am to deal with my problem and contact me when he was LESS busy. I called at 9 am Monday he didnt call me back for another 2 hours, when I did speak to him he said he was going to refund me until I contacted corporate about the state of my room, but since then he wasnt going to do anything unless I changed my review and he would refund me 20% I asked for an email to have it in writing he refused because he said he wasnt sure if he was going to issue it or not he would have to see the new review first. I would like to add we were 3 hours from our home for a wrestling tournament and was told they had no other room for us. He also said if I made another bad review he would just have it taken down. Way to go Comfort Inn you have a great leader to so your staff what customer service is supposed to look like.

We will not stay here again. We were there for 7 nights and our room was only serviced one time! I had to go to the desk and request clean towels and have the trash removed. We received conflicting information on the cleaning schedule. One person told us every other day and then we were told every third day. Each time I went to the desk they promised the room would be cleaned the next day. That only happened 1 time!!! There was a VERY strong chemical smell at the hotel. It was either cleaning products or the pool. I will say that each trip I made to the desk they were friendly!
