Quick summary: quiet, clean and very comfortable room. Very good on-site breakfast. Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Convenient to interstate and area restaurants.
We have often stayed here on road trips to visit the family. This place once again provided a clean, comfortable stay with a nice complimentary breakfast.
We stayed in room 107, that has two very comfortable queen/double beds. Nice linens and many pillows. I love that there are lovely, interesting sheets and linens for the bed covers that provide layers for you to adjust your own preferences for layers. Many other hotels have gone to one-layer duvets that are often too warm except in January.
Many of the amenities here of what you expect of a good Best Western property: microwave, fridge, in-room coffee (good pod coffee; get half-and-half from the complimentary coffee/tea bar in the lobby), etc.
Good TV and channels.
Complimentary wifi works well. Good HVAC.
You can really move in if necessary: comfy sitting chair; 8-drawer chest of drawers. Good-size work desk and ergo chair.
Tub/shower combo. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body lotion.
There is a pool and fitness facility on-site, but we did not use it.
Very good location: not far from the interstate, and a variety of restaurants are just down the road.
Very good on-site complimentary breakfast: chafing dishes that do a good job keeping hot foods hot: scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage links, hash brown potato patty. Many breads, pastries, and cereals. Fresh fruit (oranges this morning.) Juice, yogurt, etc. And yes - half-and-half for the good coffee.
There is a restaurant and bar on-site (Skye), that we had eaten there in the past, and were pleased with the quality and prices. But it closed during COVID so we explored other places nearby. It is nice to see that it reopened this year, but my husband had his heart set on a pizza place that we had found down the road that we liked. We may yet try Skye on another trip. The menu has more hand-helds than we remember from years past, and they also have fish and meat dinners on the menu. We saw the restaurant open; I don't know if the bar rea has reopened. 'Just nice to know there is a restaurant on-site if you are too tired to venture out.
Due diligence: Some minor housekeeping issues, such as the outlet to recharge your tech devices that is too loose to hold the plug. Also, like many things these days, it is starting to feel pricier than in past years.
Extra credit: unlike some hotels that forget that there are two people staying in the room, they provide TWO luggage racks!! Yay!!
Attractive sitting lobby. Lots of area travel brochures.
So - this is a convenient stopping point for us on our road trips, and are likely to return. We might give Skye a try next time.

Nice, clean, convenient to area attractions. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel is updated and has a historic feel to it. Pool area small but nice.
