Muskogee Inn And Suites

Arrived at 4pm & waited 10 minutes for someone to return to the desk to check us in. The front desk unattended for more than a few minute at a time (especially at check in times). I booked this hotel fully aware the pool, fitness area & conference room would be under construction. I did not expect the entire lobby / everything outside the guest rooms were covered draped plastic. Come to find the rooms needed to be renovated before the lobby. Bathroom is kind of falling apart with mold above the door. Hitting the road early so I was looking for an ice machine at 3:30am. I saw unwrapped pastry items on a tray being put out in a room for a breakfast that would not start until 7am. The door was then closed. I pity whomever was going to eat these in 4 hours all dusty & dried out.

This is your average Fairfield. It's cleaner than most. I always like to recognize one team member. Lilly was very sweet and asked me if I was happy with my room...THIS is a nice gesture. The only recommendation I would make is to fix the treadmills or replace them.

The staff are the best thing about this hotel - fantastically responsive and helpful, friendly and patient. However, If you are sensitive to smells, this is not the hotel for you. Our room smelled of sweat and a hint of mildew. Breakfast room smelt of febreeze. Rooms definitely need updating - worn carpet and towels. Breakfast buffet functional but nothing special. If you are driving through for the night it gets the job done but there are two other hotels across the parking lot that look newer.
