Absolutely perfect hotel for the OKC Thunder. Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. nice breakfast and plenty of parking

I was in Oklahoma for a college football game and stayed at this Hampton Inn in Bricktown. The location was stellar. You are so close to a bunch of restaurants and bars. We walked everywhere. Obviously the baseball stadium is right there, and my room had a cool view of the stadium. The room was just okay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was a good size. I think the bathroom is due for a renovation though. It looked quite dated. The breakfast was very good, and service was great also. I would stay here again.

We visited OKC for the first time over a weekend and this looked like a nice place, so we booked it. We were planning to go to the Comets baseball game and wanted to get a room with a ballpark view, but all those rooms were booked, so I took what I could get on the other side and my daughter was pretty disappointed. A week before the reservation, I called and talked to Brittany, explained the situation, and asked if we could be put on a waitlist in case there was a cancellation. I expected to her to say that can’t be done or it’s just up to me to check the website daily and see if something opens up, but instead she said ‘let me see what I can do’ and 10 minutes later she was able to switch our room to a ballpark view with no change in cost! This was great customer service. Since it is downtown, there is a daily charge of $26 for parking in the garage, and it is shared with the Garden Inn and for general parking as well for the ballpark. When we arrived, a game was going on so while it was fairly full, we were still able to get a spot and when there was not a game, there were a ton of spots open. Just make sure you check in before going to the garage as they need your plate number. One nice thing with the lot is that they just scan your plate, so there is no need to use your room key or anything else to scan to get in or not, so that was one less thing to worry about. As for the room, we were on the 7th floor and could fully see the ballpark and since there are ribbon boards, you could follow and watch the full game from the room if you wanted to (you could also view it from the parking garage, and we saw some people do it). The room itself was fine, but it was a little disappointing that there was not a microwave in it. Also, while it was not in every case, the toilet would just keep running. I exchanged some text messages with the front desk, and they said maintenance was notified, but they never came by. We just closed the door, so we did not have to hear it. For the pool, it is unique as it is a splash pad, so it was typically packed with kids. Usually with a typical hotel pool, you could do at least some mini laps for exercise, but with the design that was not possible because the deepest part of the pool was just four feet, and even that was for a very small part. The pool opens early at 6 AM, so we went at 7 AM a couple of times and had the place to ourselves. It did look like at one point they had a whirlpool, but it has been cemented over since. The workout room looked fine. Finally for breakfast, since it is a big hotel, the area was full, and it was typical you had to wait in line. There were some issues of running out of certain items, but they had multiple people working to keep things clean and to restock when possible. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we would recommend, and it is right in the heart of Bricktown so easy access to the main attractions in the area.
