Great historical hotel, right on the river! Lots of walking trails and shopping, great night life, perfect for a foodie! Attached restaurant great too! Italian, and has large meeting rooms available! Can’t beat it!

Stayed here for a family event. Unluckily got the "old" part of the hotel. The AC unit was in the other room (not the bedroom) and the room got very hot. Furniture is old and basically unusable (chairs are old, unsteady, uncomfortable.) Worst part is that both mornings, I woke up with bug bites on my body. I did not leave the window open overnight. I can't identify what type of bites they are. Front desk not super helpful or caring. If you stay, be sure to request the newer part of the hotel.

Called there to inquire about room availability. The man that answered the phone was pleasant enough but at the end of our conversation he wouldn't give me his first name. Said he wasn't required to. To the management, you do realize you're in the hospitality industry, right? Give's me a bad taste in my mouth when I think of Water Street Inn. Is that the impression you want your staff to give? Not very friendly. I've read other reviews similar in fashion. It would appear you may have a bad apple at your front counter that needs an attitude adjustment
