Larkspur Landing Portland-Hillsboro

Centrally located when we went for the Clackamas kennel club dog show. Friday breakfast was great - the little omelets + bagel = great breakfast sandwich. Coffee served in breakfast area was on par with Motel 6, however, but the coffee in the rooms was quite good. The Saturday am French toast was disappointing(plus I really live for warm morning eggs and not cold hard boiled) as it was dry - but the bread was good. Also it would be nice if the yogurt wasn't lite and fit as sucralose tastes funky. I'd rather have a no sugar added yogurt or even normal sweet yogurt. Yeah, a solid breakfast is important when you're spending the day doing dog sports. Never found any BBQ facilities, sadly, but we had a stove/microwave in our unit plus all the needed cookware and utensils, so we ate well and hid in the air conditioning with our dogs as it was too hot to go out. The dog gift bag was cute: no where near worth the 75.00 dog fee, but I definitely needed the extra bags. Dawson Creek business park became our walking area and it was quite pleasant. Our reservations got mixed up somehow, but they managed to get us a room for the second night.

Easy check-in and great service! Love the complimentary breakfast. The television has options where you can watch live TV or use the built-in apps like YouTube, Netflix or Prime TV. The room is spacious. Large table to eat at. Kitchenette is great with a full size refrigerator, set-up with a dishwasher, stove, microwave, sink, dishes and utensils are provided for guests in the room. Larkspur was located in a safe area and I had no concerns. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I'm in the area!

Decent value. Our room was quiet, if a bit rundown snd outdated feeling. Bedding was clean. Front desk staff was professional, but not particularly friendly. Good option traveling with a family + dog. Dog was only an additional $10. The breakfast was adequate with some hot options (French toast, eggs, sausage). A no frills motel.
