Sovana Inn

Avoid. The keycard didn't work on either night. Luckily there was a maintenance guy there when I arrived. But on the second night, when I got back after a long day working, the card failed again. There was no one on duty, no number to call, and nothing to do but pay to check in to another hotel. When I came back the next morning, the manager wasn't there either and when I emailed to complain i got a bounceback. Total waste of time and money

The room was good for the price paid. Parking is somewhat limited and unlikely to be close to the room, but it was quiet and a good place to get a good night's sleep. There's little around it and the neighbrhood appears to be declining, but did not feel unsafe.

I booked two nights here in November 2022 thru Expedia. My experience was so terrible the first night that I told the mgr. I refused to stay the second night. After discussion he agreed to speak to the owner and then without my approval he charged my credit card for two nights instead of the one . After four weeks of promising me a refund , the lies have piled up without the owner ever contacting me. DON’T BOOK HERE! The stay consisted of this …. NO reliable heat (the room was very cold 45 degrees upon arrival), NO internet service, NO extra blankets for the cold, NO mgr. on site, NO connection via thier emergency contact number ( after trying the number 5 times, the msg comes on that “the msg box is full, goodbye “), I used the toilet and the toilet paper holder falls off on the floor, and finally after all this at 2AM the smoke alarm starts beeping…dead battery! So much for maintenance! The room itself looks absolutely nothing like the photos. The carpet was threadbare and very stained. The whole place is very sketchy with very limited parking and almost impossible access. NO on site manger and while the fellow that was there seemed nice enough he has lied repeatedly to me about correcting these problems and refunding the second night which I was improperly charged for. I think there is a strong possibility that many of the positive reviews of this property are bogus!!! Please learn from my experience DON’T BOOK THIS PROPERTY
