The nicest things I can say about The Embarcadero is that the staff was very friendly, the bed comfortable and the view from our room across the harbor lovely. Other than that the complex appears to have been built in the heyday of timeshares, and in need of some serious upgrades to both the rooms and landscaping. The walls between rooms are thin and we were on the ground floor. We spent 2 nights listening to what appeared to be someone bouncing a tennis ball against the wall, and TVs with the volume turned up far too loud. We tried the onsite restaurant & wine bar. Again, acceptable but by no means fabulous. Small portions with upscale prices. Certainly not the experience I expected.
