Comfort Inn & Suites Portland Intl Airport

The exterior of the building looks like a prison. The interior hallways look like a hospital. The room itself was clean, very comfortable and it was the only TV on our entire trip which was easy to operate! Don't be fooled by first impressions. It's a great place for a short stay. Don't however, expect to get the additional holding charge of $50 to be credited to your account in short order. It apparently can take up to 10 days to get that refunded to your credit card depending on your bank.

Room is not sound proof being next to the airport. You can hear airplanes constantly which keeps you up all hours of the night and is loud. TV gets very little channels which is unusual for a hotel. Rooms are very outdated and old. Rooms could use a facelift.

The room as a suite was a welcome bonus with a good bed and nice sitting area. Breakfast selection was better than most. Staff was good and location good for our purpose on this trip. The only problem was muffled noise from airplanes nearby but that's to be expected near an airport.
