Redmond Inn

The advertised photos do not match the actual condition of the facility. Redmond seems a bit sketchy crime-wise, so I removed everything from my vehicle. The owners are advertising a pool. Come to find the pool is, and has been closed for years. The pool deck is littered with old air conditioner units. The room was dark and dingy and had a sickeningly sweet musty smell. The floor was covered in dirt and the bed cover looked like a remnant from the 70's. The bed blanket was a thin, cheap, worn blanket that was stained brown around the top edge. It also smelled as if it had not been washed recently. The light switches were well beyond their serviceable years and stained with years of dirt. The kitchen had an old refrigerator that contained food from a previous guest. It was gross. I woke up at 2am to the sound of men shouting outside my door. I attempted to look through the peephole in the door but noticed it was plugged with tissue or some sort of material. Weird. I was stuck with the room because it was late and I just needed a place to stay. So, I purchased a sheet set and two pillows from Fred Meyer and used my sleeping bag as a comforter. I woke up to the noise of guests filling ice chests at 5am. I was glad because I was out of there as soon as I woke up as I avoided using the shower. Overall, this place was a total bummer. False advertising (photos) convinced me this wouldn't be such a bad place to stay. Don't make the same mistake I did! Spend the extra money and get into someplace clean. Anyone willing to spend $160+ for this place is nuts. Oh, and I was in such a hurry to leave, I left my new pillows behind the room. Total bummer.

We came here on a weekend trip to central Oregon with some friends. It is conveniently located, near beautiful features like Smith Rock State Park and the Painted Hills, which we were there to see. The room was clean, but rather run down, with cracks in the door frames, and a refrigerator that made gurgling sounds during the night. The continental breakfast was decent.

They suck! Rude, overpriced and a dump! Management jacked up the prices after a 1 night stay. Got called by housekeeping before time to check out and was very rude. The helps children were hanging out all day. Not in a good area of town. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
