The Dalles Inn

Extremely convenient with kids it’s across from burgerville! We loved the clean rooms and they had an extra long round pillow on the bed and I stuck it under the sheet on the side my toddler was on so she wouldn’t fall off the bed. I enjoyed that everything was there even a mini fridge and good coffee. The only thing that was tough for me is using the tv, I’m sure the front desk could help you, it wasn’t an issue we fell straight to sleep on the comfy mattresses! One more thing they do not have continental breakfast, but they do have a cafe, or simply go down the street to tnt bagels for a fast breakfast on your way out of town!

We had a great experience with The Dalles Inn and staff! Everyone was really helpful and everything was clean and updated. I especially appreciated that they let us park our car in between our stays while we were on a rafting trip, and let us check in early when we were in desperate need of showers from the trip! I never leave reviews but feel I need to because this surpassed expectations for me.

I booked this hotel for one night for a quick business trip. I checked in around 9 pm and the woman at the front desk was so sweet and nice. She was welcoming and gave me a cute bag of treats and a toy for my little dog. That was the end of the lovely things for this hotel. The room was obviously old and they tried to make updates but they were done so poorly. The fake leather on the back of the bed was peeling off, mildew in the tub, and a pube from a previous guest was left in the tub! Yuck! Now for check out—Since it was a business trip I asked for a receipt for a reimbursement and was told by Greg at the front desk who is likely the manager that he couldn’t give me one since I booked through Expedia. I went round and round with him and let him know I did not book through Expedia or any third party site like that . I booked directly through the hotels website. He never could accept that nor could he figure out how to give me a receipt. He continued to insist that I booked through some third party site and acted like I was confused when, in fact, he was confused. I have never, not once, used a third party booking site. This hotel is old and nasty. Beware. There are other hotels closer that are much nicer.
