Embassy Suites Portland Airport

Embassy Suites is less than a quarter-mile from the Portland PWM baggage claim exit and from the ramp leading down to the rental car desks. The hotel offers a handy free shuttle to/from the airport, but if you don't have much luggage, just turn right out of baggage claim and walk along the sidewalk until you see the hotel signs on the opposite side of the street. You can buy snacks and drinks at the reception desk. If you need an actual meal, there's a lunch/dinner restaurant on the other side of the elevators. In the morning, this same dining area houses a blessedly substantial breakfast buffet: a selection of cereals, pastries, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, and yogurt, plus an omelette station where you can choose a standby (e.g. Denver), a specialty of the day, or build your own. The in-house dining options are perfect for late arrivals and even better for early-morning departures. The rooms I stayed in had a door between the sitting room/kitchenette area and the bedoom, and both areas had TVs, so another occupant could have stayed up without disturbing me after I'd gone to bed. The intervening door was also good at muffling the racket of the other wall unit AC/heater. I wasn't disturbed at all by the sound of airplanes and slept easily. I've realized that after a flight of five or more hours, it's better to spend the night at a hotel near the airport and do the same the night before the return trip. It reduces exhaustion, rushing, and anxiety about traffic delays; this was especially true when I returned my rental car and needed just seven minutes to walk back to the hotel. Embassy Suites is the perfect hotel for incoming and outgoing travelers, and I would definitely book there again.

Indir at the restaurant was absolutely amazing! He was very personable, friendly, and provided outstanding service. He even remembered me and my sisters order, which made the experience feel extra special. I went back both nights of my trip because of him, and he truly made my first visit to Oregon unforgettable. He made our entire trip straight from the hotel! And gave us great ideas to do around here! I’ll definitely be returning from Colorado to see him again

Excellent hotel with great staff and comfortable rooms. Great indoor atrium with water/fish features and lots of plants. The free breakfast is the usual buffet style but with a large selection of items including a to-order staffed omlet bar. Shuttle is by request only so dont get stuck waiting for it at the airport as it wont come until you call, but then very swiftly.
