Hampton Inn Allentown

The room stinks like mildew and urine. It is so bad we actually are just leaving after 3 hours and not even asking for a refund- we just want to get out of there. Would suggest you do not stay here.

Not sure how this gets a 4 star rating. It’s not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but it is pretty bad. Dreary, worn and outdated. Wall to wall carpeting in the rooms is really dirty and grimy (don’t take your shoes off). The towels are super thin. The bedding is worn. The coffee downstairs might be the worst I’ve ever had, ever. They do not provide daily housekeeping services (no one empties the trash, makes beds, provides fresh towels, or brings you 2 more coffee k-cups. After 3 days, I asked for service when I left in the AM and no one showed up. Asked again on day 4 and the room was finally serviced. The line is dead when you call housekeeping from the room. No one answers when you call the front desk. Lots of people stay here with dogs, and more dogs. Lots of dogs around and sometimes barking. I think some people might even be living here. The people hanging around the front desk are often profane. And the list goes on.

We loved this hotel. We always go to Redroof Inn and this is part of the red collection. Privately owned but all the same pet rules as RED ROOF EXCEPT a much nicer hotel. Warm friendly inviting lobby. We were there 2 weeks before Christmas and the lobby looked like Santa's workshop. We were on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. The girl at the desk was happy and smiling. If I am forced to have 1 complaint lol then it would be that at the breakfast they had a waffle maker BUT it was not on and there was no waffle mix. There was a chafing dish with hot water in it but no food. However it was fine because we had the bagels( even had a slicing thing for the bagles. Guy at desk in am( night desk clerk) was very friendly and cordial. This will be our go to hotel between NC and NH...oh ya and all the above for $80/night. Thank you For an awesome stay in a clean, quiet and friendly stay. We will be back..oh ya and I have no clue what those people that gave a poor review want but if u want the Hilton go stay there. Just please stop expecting the Hilton and a Redroof Price.
