Brandywine River Hotel

The space was fine--nice King bed, good wifi access, great tub. But the AC was set to a permanent temperature that left us fanning ourselves most of the night. The breakfast was a bit pitiful. Fruit that had mold on it. Sparse collection of breakfast items. No hot water. We had to microwave our tea and oatmeal--just not up to the norm here. Location was great, thankfully.

Pleasant and clean. Convenient to many attractions in the Brandywine/Chadds Ford area. Easy access to rooms with personal access codes meant no keys to keep track of. Our room had a fireplace which I would have loved to use if the season was right.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Brandywine River Hotel. It was very clean, charming, and had a comfortable, welcoming feel. There are a few areas that could use a little updating, but honestly, that was easy to overlook because of everything else the hotel has to offer and did not detract from the ambience of the property. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The location is wonderful. Just a short, easy walk down from the hotel are little shops and places to eat. On Friday evening, we sat outside, listened to live music, and had wood-fired pizza. It was one of those unexpected little things that made the trip special. We felt incredibly safe here. The hotel is close to so much in the Chadds Ford area, but it sits back enough that it still feels quiet and secluded. Also, very affordable! We would definitely stay here again!
