Days Inn Pittsburgh Airport

Location a bit away from major spots, e.g. shopping, eating, so a rental vehicle is highly desirable. I imagine rideshares could also work, but costs could add up depending on frequency and distance to travel. Shopping and restaurants are a 5-minute drive away. Hotel is very recently refurbished but looks and feels brand new. Rooms are spacious enough, with separate 'living area'. Sofa bed looked new, as well; however, I did not use it as a bed. Bathroom is very spacious - same size as bedroom or living area. Surroundings were very clean and room service, breakfast service and reception were all fantastic. Breakfast was somewhat varied daily, which was a nice touch. It also was appetizing. There is no pool, but gym is nice with new looking equipment, including free weights, cardio, bench and multi-unit. There is also partially covered lounge area on the outside with new furniture - another nice touch. One washer and one dryer are supplied for personal laundry. They require $2 per load. I wish the separate bedroom could have been closed off from the living area with a door, though, to prevent disturbance for users in bedroom from any late night activity, e.g. tv or lights, in the living area. Also, the bathroom is separate from the bedroom and not ensuite, so you have to pass through the living area to access it. Additionally, I wish the sliding door to the bathroom, itself, was not so heavy. Even for me - a man of 'average' strength, it took some effort to open and close. My wife struggled. These minor detractions apart, I rate this hotel highly and would certainly return if visiting Pittsburgh again.

This is an awesome hotel and staff. My review will add observations not cons. The observations will be just that and not a con to the hotel or our stay / experience. Checking in we were greeted by the General Manager Robert who was very polite and very welcoming to the hotel. Later that day and over the next couple of days Gavin and Rachel at the front desk were awesome, helpful and always wore a smile and asked how our stay was going and we needed anything. The room was awesome and clean. The housekeeping staff was friendly when they worked and greeted you when they were out in hallway. The location is a nice quite spot while convient to stores, restaurants and downtown. The free breakfast was very nice and Chickie who took care of the setup and cleanliness was polite and made sure you had what you need. We used the onsite laundry which came in handy. $2 per wash load and $2 per dryer load. All on the 3rd floor. Observations: The website described the rooms as having a kitchenette. Thats not really a true description, they have a coffeemaker, frig and microwave. A lot of hotels have that. A kitchenette would imply a cooktop and possibly a small sink. The website should focus on the nice outdoor patio seating rather than stating No fire pit + grill grate, no chairs + pinic table. The outdoor patio is an awesome spot, highlight that. The laundry room (floors and table were very clean) however the outside and top of the washer were filthy and the dryer lint trap was disgusting and full of tons of lint. The housekeeping staff should make sure they focus on the machines too. The hotel needs to fix the card lock on the laundry room door so it doesn't have to be kept open. The website states on resturant on site. Not true, they are choosing to call the complimentary breakfast as the resturant. A couple of places to eat near by, The Sea Shell and The Central Dinner and Grill. There is also a Target and Walmart near by. Overall we would definitely stay again. When you are reviewing where to stay, do not pass up this gem.

The SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh Airport exceeded every single one of my expectations and truly set the standard for what an airport hotel should be! 🛋️ The Suite Life The rooms here are incredible. Calling it just a "hotel room" is an understatement—it’s a massive, beautifully designed suite. The layout is incredibly smart, featuring: A dedicated living area with a super comfortable trundle sofa. A brilliant privacy wall separating the bed from the sitting space. A fantastic workspace, perfect for catching up on emails. Plush, cloud-like bedding that gave me one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in years. 🍳 Top-Tier Amenities & Service The staff here deserve a standing ovation. Every team member I encountered was genuinely warm, welcoming, and eager to help. The Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was a massive highlight! It wasn’t just the standard continental fare; it was a hot, fresh, and delicious spread with plenty of variety to fuel my day. The Shuttle: Their airport shuttle service was prompt, efficient, and took all the stress out of travel logistics.
