Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Drums-Hazelton

Stayed on way home from NYC with bus trip. Hotel is under construction May 2025. Everything was good and breakfast was good. Stairs were closed which we thought was strange in case of a fire. Other than that staff was good and it was just a quick stop on our way home.

Very quiet but also quite isolated and torexlookkng. Breakfast was especially disappointing. Went downstairs 90 minutes before closing, and there was no attempt to replenish any of the items. Sad offerings of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and sausage patties (no bacon). Fortunately, there were some cinnamon buns and yogurt. The hotel is convenient on our journey and is being renovated, so perhaps it will be improved in the future. Some nearby (driving) restaurants- we usually choose Evans Roadhouse about 10 minutes away.

Very clean, comfy bed, large shower but a bit slippery. Good breakfast but in an isolated location within an office park. Very close to the highway but no truck noise. Easy to find and good service. Very clean, comfy bed, large shower but a bit slippery.
