Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Great Valley/Exton

I used to stay here frequently for work in the past. Since the last time I stayed, ownership has changed hands twice. All of the friendly faces I used to see when I stayed and who remembered me have all been replaced. The faces at the front desk now were professional but not interested in me being a repeat guest. The cleanliness of the place has declined heartily, as you can see from the photos. I did not try the breakfast; there was scant anything fresh other than a few oranges. Industrially baked goods and powdered eggs were the fare, which weren't interesting to me. The bed in my room leaned heavily to one side. There were stains on the walls and ceilings. The shower head was corroded, although the hot water immediately worked and had a good surge. I needed to stay an extra night for work and I was quoted one price by one front desk person and another number by another person; both were different than what I saw online and what I was paying for my other nights there. It felt disingenuous to me. Again, they weren't treating me to be a repeat customer. The elevator skips and hops when it opens the doors and when it closes its doors. I told the front desk about it three times. It wasn't fixed during the time I was there. I'm not sure I will come back if it's just a few dollars difference for other places in the are that may be cleaner, have better breakfast options, and safer elevators.

Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, and the location was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

What a dump! How any good reviews is mind boggling. Room smelled like smoke, walls yellow, wall paper peeling. So gross.
