HMPTN INN HARRISBURG GRNTVILLE

I stayed here 2 years ago and loved it. Fast forward and it’s taken a nose dive. They renovated and it looks worse than before. The breakfast is very limited with many items empty and missing. They still have construction items spread out throughout the property. Fire alarm goes off at 3:45am to scare the living crap out of everyone and their answer is “I’m sorry, it was faulty”. Nothing to make us feel better nor to rectify the situation at hand. I hope down the road they get back to where they were 2 years ago because it’s a shame now.

I was with my son for a baseball tournament from July 17-20. At first I was reluctant to book the Hampton Inn because it was going through renovations in April and May. However , after calling they told my specifically that all the rooms were done. I had and excellent stay at the Hotel. Even though there wasnt much for free breakfast it was still decent. The area was excellent and quiet. It was right off highway 81 so location was perfect. Staff was excellent and helpful. The rooms were neat and modern. It was very clean and everything was brand new. The pool was nice too, not the largest but not the smallest. The best part was the rates were excellent! I paid a bit over $500 whereas most of my sons team paid $700 for their stay. Excellent place also if your visiting Hershey Park which was about 20min away. We had a great stay.

This is a nasty hotel. Very dirty. Did not want to sleep there. Pool is yucky. Gym is small. Key card doesn’t work for laundry. Lower level is disappointing. Breakfast sucks. Staff is mean. Behind the front desk it says joy, then you not enjoy. Pick the Tru across the street.
