Dilapidated and very dirty hotel Rusty towel holder. Worn sheets. The bed looked like it hadn't been made. Dirty carpet and floor. Chewing gum on both beds (circled in red in photo). Cobwebs. (Highlighted in red in photo) Dirty phone, alarm clock and lamp greasy with food residue. Ceiling stained with cobwebs. Dirty ventilation grill. Dirty and rusty toilet paper holder Strong musty and musty smell in the room. Empty and dirty swimming pool Dirty outdoor park with dog poo everywhere Dirty front door. Sticky handle. We refused to sleep at this facility at the cost of sleeping in the car, for reasons of hygiene. From the photos you can see that the structure is very dirty, but I assure you that in person the feeling of disgust was greater. The photos on the site will be at least 30 years old. I gave 1 because you can't give 0.

Let me start by saying we don’t usually use third party booking. When our planned trip to Pennsylvania became frustrating due to fully booked, and in one case a closed hotel, we resorted to Reservation Stays/SnapTravel to book a totally unfamiliar place. When we arrived we could tell it was shady…much more run-down looking than the apparently older Clarion photos shown on the hotel website, few cars, etc. Imagine our dismay and disgust when we approached the door to find legal postings condemning the building as unsanitary and unsafe for habitation. These postings were dated September 3… and our booking was dated September 11…a week AFTER the building was condemned! I disputed the charge immediately with my credit card company. When I finally reached someone from SnapTravel, they showed their true colors as a scam. Since that time, rather than apologize for this grave error and process a speedy refund, they have acted like somehow I am trying to cheat them. They have asked for an invoice from the condemned property THEY booked for us, asked for a invoice from our alternate hotel (which we also had to find using the third party HotelTonight app), and basically refuse to take ANY responsibility for booking us into a place that had been closed down for a week!

After a nice day exploring Lancaster we went to check in to this hotel which we booked via the phone. We pull in to the lot to find the main building, hotel and all, condemned, with notices all over the front glass doors, the lobby in shreds, traffic cones blocking any access. It was something out of a horror movie! yet they still took our credit card, did not tell us it was condemned and sent us welcome emails for us to look forward to our stay. Around the side, a woman was taking the credit cards to sign guests in on a fold up table from her room. She said you can use a few rooms in a side wing, which was decaying and looked dirty and unsafe. We refused to stay there, and she charged the full amount anyways--even though we asked her not too. Both the internet and the woman were full of lies--hiding the fact that this hotel is actually condemned! They need to be reported!!!!!
