Inn at Mendenhall an Ascend Collection hotel

We were only here for 14 hours because we checked in at 9:30pm, but we were impressed. There was a clerk at the desk when we arrived. Our room was clean, spacious, and modern. It even had a hint of fresh paint smell. It was a very quiet room on the 2nd floor. The bathroom tub desperately needed at mat, however! It was super slippery! I appreciate the make up and full length mirrors. Breakfast was very generous! Hot and cold buffet with an omelet station. Wish we could have visited the bar on premise, but it was closed by the time we arrived. Only a 6 minute drive from Longwood Gardens. Great price. We would stay again if in the area.

Our overnight stay was delightful and we appreciate Tina for finding a room for us during the busy weekend! The Inn is gorgeous, both the hotel and restaurant, and decorated so cheerfully for the holiday. We spent Saturday at Longwood Gardens, then stayed here to have a delicious dinner and relaxing overnight. We missed the breakfast but staff was so kind to find us some noshes for the road. Our room (316) was perfectly immaculate and beautiful with warm taupe tones. The windows actually open and that is probably why the room smelled nice (they can air it out naturally). am so happy I planned this little holiday getaway here. We will be back, for sure.

Asked for a quiet room and told by Front Desk "they are all quiet rooms". If that is so, I am sadly surprised. The background noise was as if riding on a jet airplane. Then when the AC kicked in there was a loud hum that would wake us from sleep. Rooms were otherwise quite nice with comfortable bed. Breakfast was quite good with plenty of choices.
