This ranks among my worst visitor experiences ever in a hotel. My husband had read a review complaining of mold smells in rooms, so he called ahead to tell them that I am highly sensitive to mold. They promised a room where no one had ever complained of mold. We arrived, walked in our room, and immediately both of us smelled mold. I went straight to the front desk to tell them we had to leave, that there was mold in the room. The manager screamed at me, giving me a real dressing down, insisting there was no mold in any room in the hotel and that if I were that sensitive, I should never leave my house. He would not promise me I would get any money back for the 3-night stay I had booked. The next day they returned 2 nights’ payments. Then after a phone call to a different and much nicer person, they returned the first night’s payment. Wow. NOT the way to treat guests!

I’ve been using the pool at this hotel for over 10 years, and unfortunately, the experience has become increasingly disappointing in the past few years since new ownership took over.
The pool bathrooms are consistently dirty. There is often no paper towel to dry your hands, no hand soap, and water regularly left on the floor around the toilets. For a hotel pool charging a full admission price, basic cleanliness and hygiene should be a given. The bathrooms in the hotel main lobby are not even better. There's typically toilet paper all over the floor with dirty bathroom and walls.
The pool bar is also frustrating. Many of the beers listed on the menu are never available, and the slush machine was removed before the season was even over so we were not able to get slushy drinks, yet the hotel continued charging the full price for pool admission.
Food service needs improvement as well. Orders are frequently delivered to the wrong chairs.. It seems like a very simple solution would be to use the numbered chairs when taking orders rather than relying on descriptions of where guests are sitting.
Finally, the pool chairs have algae on them, which is particularly unpleasant when guests are paying to use the pool. Also the pool towels they provide have stains on them and they are not the normal pool towels you would get at a hotel.
There is a lot of potential for this pool to be a great experience, but the hotel needs to do a much better job maintaining the facilities, keeping the bathrooms properly stocked and clean, and improving the overall service. If you're going to charge to use the pool, the amenities and service should reflect that.
Note: I've never been a hotel guest.

The hotel was a disaster. The rooms were old, dingy, dated, broken furniture, phone didn’t work, maid service non existent. We were by the pool with people drinking, loud and rowdy until 3 am. Hotel did nothing.
Website said state of the art fitness room. What a joke. NO towels, no water, no gym wipes, mold on the walls, garbage overflowing, equipment not all working. Had a TV, but no way to turn on. Probably did not work anyway.
Bar in hotel had limited hours….didnt open until 5 pm….and had no hours on Sunday. Ridiculous.
‘Hotel’ pool was contracted out to a private club. Though hotel guests were welcome, it was overwhelmed with local members such that hotel guests had little availability of space.
The young man at the front desk was about as useful as a one eyed monkey. Zero customer service skills or even social manners. Worst I have ever seen.
